29/4 2014 David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), Johnny Marr (The Smiths), Radioheads Ed O`Brien and Philip Selway and Billy Bragg, founder of the non-profit organization Jail Guitar Doors, signed an open letter, published by The Guardian. In the letter, they protested the government's decision to ban guitars in English prisons. They believed that the decision would make it difficult to rehabilitate the prisoners. Later the government made a poodle and the ban was lifted.
