10/23/1964 Crashed the plane, a Cessna Skyhawk, that Buddy And The Kings hired to get to a gig in Harris County. The band's drummer Bill Daniels was the pilot and all four band members died when the plane crashed nose first. Singer Harold Box, had previously replaced Buddy Holly in The Crickets after his death in a plane crash in 1959, singing on Buddy Holly's song "Peggy Sue Got Married".
