19/1 1935 Johnny O'Keefe, known as Australia's "King Of Rock'n'Roll", was born. Together with Johnny Greenan and Dave Owens, he wrote his hit "The Wild One" in 1958, which Iggy Pop covered in 1986, though then with the title "Real Wild Child".
