24/5 1968 The Rolling Stones released the single "Jumpin' Jack Flash" in Great Britain. It became their seventh No.1 hit on the UK chart. Keith Richards has said that he and Jagger wrote the lyrics while living in Richard's house in the country. There they had woken one morning to the sound of gardener Jack Dyer walking past the window. When Jagger asked what the noise was, Richards replied: "Oh, it's Jack - it's Jumpin' Jack".
